Museum and galleries

Like any other country that has a rich culture and history, Switzerland is another popular haven for museums and galleries. With Berne as the capital city, it is just proper that it houses some of the leading and important Swiss museums and art galleries throughout the country. The Natural History Museum being the native museum of the city, exhibits its most well-known character Barry the Dog. Barry is the bravest dog known to have rescued stranded travellers all around the Alps.

Another interesting museum you should not miss is the Bern Historical Museum, where various works of Albert Einstein can be seen during his long stay in Switzerland. The Museum of Fine Arts is a special favourite of many art lovers, boasting of fine paintings from famous artists including the Swiss painter Paul Klee. His 2,000 works of art are being rotated in a year and draws lots of visitors, too.
