Salt Mines in Bex

The salt mines in Bex remains to be the only open working Swiss mine today. You will be treated to a detailed tour by a narrow-gauge train and will be shown the effort and energy that should be exerted over producing salt.

But first, an audiovisual presentation showing the fascinating story of salt mining over three centuries will be shown in an old reservoir. Opening hours of the guided tour starts from the month of April until October. Booking ahead is more practical but is not compulsory.
